Krystle Harkness

Discovering new knowledge is my greatest passion and in my opinion books are one of the few things around us that not only let us discover new knowledge but also ourselves.  I have had my head in and out of the books my whole life and they have made me realize that the impossible is possible. As a teacher and materials developer I want to nuture a love of knowledge and English in my students through the wonder of books.  

 

I created this website as a portfolio to showcase and display  my achievements, expertise and best work in both literacy education and TESOL.   I have organized it to read like a book and, as such, it consists of three main parts: 1) The Preface which introduces me personally and professionally, 2) The TESOL Chronicles which include five chapters detailing my TESOL education, research and work, 3) The Epliogue which wraps up my MA TESOL experience and looks towards my future.   

 

Through my work as a reading teacher and my studies in the Sookmyung Women's University TESOL MA program I have grown and developed my skills more than I dreamed was possible.  I hope that this portfolio shows my professors and collegues my creativity, determination, knowledge and skills in the TESOL field which I apply to my work each and every day.
